The Registered Dental Assisting program
at Citrus College offers comprehensive
training courses that prepare students for
a career in a high-demand field that
offers good starting salaries and excellent

What is the job of a dental assistant?
The dental assistant is a valuable member
of the dental health team and needs
specialized skills and training. A dental
assistant prepares patients for treatment,
assists the dentist during procedures, take
and process dental x-rays, prepare dental
materials, maintain and sterilize instruments,
and conduct business office procedures.
A Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) can
find employment in private dental practices,
clinics, public health departments
or hospitals.
