CIDA, Inc., a part of National Distribution and Contracting, Inc. (NDC), is an association of independent medical supply distributors located in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean. CIDA provides private label products, group purchasing programs with manufacturers, marketing and electronic commerce for its member distributors.
These programs assist the "Independent" Medical Distributor in meeting the needs of their customers - including physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, sub-acute care centers, laboratories, the home care patient - in products and programs and allow the CIDA members to compete with regional and national distributors while providing the high levels of service demanded by the healthcare community.
CIDA, Inc. began operations in 1979 with a desire to "level the playing field" between the independent medical distributor and the large regional and national distributors in pricing, products, and programs. After twenty (20) years of success in doing just that, CIDA became a part of an even more formidable organization, National Distribution and Contracting, Inc. (NDC) with sister companies ABCO Dealers, Inc., StarLine Dealers Association, Inc., the American Dental Cooperative and United Dental Distributors.
