Supervisor, Dental Claims
(Dental Claims Department)
The responsibilities of this position include:
· Planning, organizing and supervising the daily operations of the Claim processing department while overseeing and monitoring the work flow of Dental Claims Approvers
· Provide training and direction to subordinates, review work performance and perform pre-payment and post-payment claim audits
· Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production, inventory and performance trend reports
· Conduct quality audits to support the Quality Counseling Program
· Analyze trends and recommend changes in methods, procedures, systems and/or policies to improve upon the operation
· Conduct periodic refresher training sessions for claims staff on new and upgraded policies and procedures
· Maintain attendance reports, weekly payroll and prioritize and distribute claims
· Develop / modify work flow and procedures based on new policies and business rules
The qualifications of this position are:
· Strong working knowledge of claim processing, procedures and systems.
· College degree preferred.
· Extensive knowledge of GHI contracts and dental terminology
· Minimum of one year claims processing experience
· Minimum of two years related supervisory experience preferred
· PC proficiency required (Microsoft Office)
