Description Summary Description:
This position involves communicating benefits and answering questions from our dental providers and customers. Our CSR will maintain knowledge of health and/or dental claims, coding and processing guidelines. In addition, they will also maintain knowledge of dental plan designs and services provided by Boon-Chapman. The Customer Service Representative is a key position in the team and must give accurate, courteous, and clear information to all callers. Highly developed organizational and communication skills a must.
Responsibilities:
* Answer 95% of incoming calls from dental providers or customers. * Trend type of calls receiving and communicate with Supervisor and Analysts concerning potential problems. * Researching and resolving Provider inquiries * Working knowledge of MCS-2000 and HealthPac. * Complete check tracer forms. * Responsible for maintaining good customer service and human relations communications with providers and other departments. * Recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy of claims processing. * Trend type of calls receiving and advise department/unit of possible issues. * Projects assigned by Supervisor. * Other duties as assigned.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 2 - 5 years of Customer Service experience preferably in an insurance/dental office/TPA environment. Adjudication and/or processing experience a plus. Extensive knowledge of ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPCS coding and medical/dental terminology. Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication skills, CRT and 10 key capabilities (minimum 8,000 keystrokes per hour), interpersonal relations expertise, and proficiency in problem solving and analysis. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of quality. Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment required.
