Job Description
Description: The Coronation Dental Specialty Group is seeking a new Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our growing practice. We are a young, vibrant and busy 9-practitioner Multi-Specialty Group Practice located 40 minutes west of Toronto Pearson International Airport in Cambridge, Ontario. We presently have six Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, an endodontist, a periodontist and part-time medical anaesthesiologist. Our most senior Oral Surgeon is retiring in the next year and we are looking for a replacement. All our remaining surgeons are under 45 years of age.
The surgeons all hold appointments with full privileges at 5 hospitals in the area and cover office and trauma call 8 weeks per year. Trauma call is generally light but we do cover the facial trauma for one of our local community hospitals which is a Level II centre. We have 4 offices including a brand new 21,000 sq. ft. facility in Cambridge.
The majority of cases done in our facilities consist of dentoalveolar procedures and anaesthetics. We have a very large dental implant practice which includes grafting, reconstruction and CT Guided procedures. Major cases such as orthognathic, grafting, TMJ open joint, TMJ arthoscopy (both operative and diagnostic) and pathology cases are done in the hospitals.
We are looking for an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (either practicing or a new graduate) with an interest in joining a large full-scope group practice. Typically, our associates will have the opportunity to partner within 2 years.
Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo (The "Tri-City" Area) is a beautiful community with a large University presence. Living in any of the 3 cities will give you easy access to all of our offices and is a short drive to Toronto.
