Essential Skills And Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; two years college preferred. Must have two years office experience, with strong customer service and communications skills. Dental background preferred, with ability to use a computer.
Position Responsibilities: Adjudicates claims based on prescribed guidelines for the purpose of processing claims according to policy and contract requirements. Tasks include on-line claims adjudication, electronic claims, requesting additional information, completing claim adjustment requests, referencing benefit policy manual and other related documentation. Monitored by claims turnaround time (TAT) and accuracy standards, Manager, Claims Processing and the V.P., Operations.
Updates claim information in the claims maintenance system for the purpose of enabling claims to process. Monitored by self, TAT and accuracy standards, Manager, Claims Processing and the V.P., Operations.
Requests additional information from dentists and subscribers for the purpose of completing claims data. Tasks may include phone calls and generating form letters. Monitored by self and Operations Specialists.
Provides customer service backup for the purpose of answering customer calls during peak periods. Tasks include retrieving files and other information, documenting encounters in the call tracking system, and any follow-up required. Monitored by telephone response standards and customer service survey results.
