Job Description
Job Duties
The Ceramist is responsible for build up and finish of full ceramic cases like pressed/stacked veneers crowns & bridges, inlays & onlays.
Essential Qualifications
Read, interpret, and design Cerinate® pressed porcelain restorations from doctors’ prescription forms.
Interface with various support personnel to assure case success (e.g. Manager, Consultant, QC and Support Technicians)
Complete final fitting as required.
Ensure proper anatomy, margins, color, contact and occlusion are achieved.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of formal training/experience in the fabrication of porcelain laminates, crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays.
2. Must have a solid understanding of occlusion and function including centric relation/maxim intercuspidation, anterior and condylar guidance, centric holding stops, side shift, protrusion, laterotrusion and free way space
3. Must have an understanding of semi-adjustable instrumentation.
4. Excellent written and good verbal English communication skills.
5. Good hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills to use intricate tools.
6. High degree of precision working with close tolerances.
7. Ability to see up close, distance and discern color variations with an eye for detail.
