Job Description
Orthodontics Clinical Assistant Job - Riverside, CT - Riverside Orthodontics. LLC Great opportunity for career minded individual. The office is bright and cheerful with large windows and an open bay set-up. We go out of the way to avoid overbooking!

Responsible for assisting orthodontist in all orthodontic clinical procedures, set up and sterilization of instruments, and preparation of impressions.

Primary Duties: * Seating patients. * Preparing patients for Orthodontists and anticipating needs for that visit, doing as much work in prep as possible. * Assisting with the insertion of appliances, both fixed and removable. * Assisting with the application of braces. * Preparing the chair for the next patient. * Giving orthodontic hygiene and maintenance instructions. * Updating patient records. * Stocking/restocking supplies.

Secondary Duties: * Monitoring clinical supplies. * Sterilization * Instrument tray setup. * Maintaining lab area. * Shutting down operatory area at close of business. * Cleaning suction lines. * Tracing cephalometric radiographs as needed (will train).

Additional Requirements: * Must have good coordination and manual dexterity. * Well kempt personal hygiene and appropriate attire. * Must be well spoken.

Competencies: * Ability to execute exact orthodontic clinical procedures as instructed by the Doctor in a timely and efficient manner. * Ability to work as a team member and interact with patients of all ages. * Must be capable of managing stress during high patient volume periods (afternoons). * Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly. * Must have a positive attitude and a friendly personality. * Must be able to ensure patient comfort as the top priority.

Skills Required: * Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and all related instruments and equipment. * Must have basic knowledge of Windows and basic computer skills.

Experience in orthodontics preferred but will cross train the right individual.
