Orthodontics Scheduling Coordinator Job - New York, NY - Mark J. Bronsky, DMD, MS, PC
Responsible for all aspects of patient scheduling and preparation of the upcoming schedule.
Primary Duties: * Meeting and greeting patients/making them feel comfortable/stand up and shake hands with new patients. * Scheduling and rescheduling appointments. * Entering new patient information into the computer (completely and accurately). * Answering phones and taking phone messages for doctors and staff. * Handling patient inquiries regarding payments, account information and some clinical issues. * Responsible for cashing out at the end of the day, producing a daily deposit report and daily deposit slip report, and preparing the bank deposit slips. * Keep clinical staff apprised of changes in the schedule. * Creating patient files and filing them. * Make necessary chart entries. * Print out insurance forms (though we do not do insurance billing at our office, the position requires helping patients with inquiries and direct questions to the Insurance Coordinator). * Updating the patient files. * Listing alerts for the next day for the front desk and other staff, i.e.: per visit charges... * Straighten up waiting room, making sure it looks presentable (2-3 times a day or in preparation for staff meetings) * Set up our appointment confirmation software, Televox, every evening and handle problems with the system.
Physical Requirements: * Sitting for long periods of time. * Manual dexterity. * Well kepmt personal hygiene and professional dress.

Skills Required: * Use of calculator * Computer knowledge to learn software programs * Microsoft Word * Basic Bookkeeping * Ability to handle multiple phone lines * Fax/Copier * Phone Etiquette * Ability to work well with others * Proper grammar, spelling and punctuation * Should have a basic knowledge of Orthodontic procedures * Attention to details when taking phone messages to ensure correct numbers and spelling.
