Due to recent growth - we have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our Dental Care team. This position is based in our newest, state of the art dental office.

The Dental Assistant prepares patients for examination and ensures our patients are prepared, relaxed and are as comfortable as possible. Working chair-side under the supervision of the dentist, the dental assistant performs a variety of tasks; selecting and handing instruments to the dentist during dental procedures and practices of standardized procedures, techniques and methods used in dental assistance. Our Dental Assistants also may remove sutures, apply topical anesthetics to gums or cavity-preventive agents to teeth - remove excess cement used in the filling process and place rubber dams on the teeth to isolate them for individual treatment. The dental assistant must have excellent patient communication skills and be able to instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care and be skilled in cornal polishing and auxiliary bleaching.

General Requirements

- Must have active RDA credentials - 1-2+ yrs of experience as an RDA - Excellent communication skills and a professional chair side manner - Excellent time-mangement skills and ability to multi-task is a must - CU, CX or CXU Designation a plus - EFs a HUGE plus - Managed care experience a plus - Bi-lingual Eng/Spanish a plus - Orthodontics experience a plus
